How to arrive

Artena is about 40 km south of Rome, just off Italy’s main highway (A1).

By car:

Set your navigator to “Piazza Giovanni Genocchi, Artena”. Directions from the A1 highway (Autostrada del Sole):Exit at Valmontone. Go all the way around the roundabout, following the signs toward Artena. Keep following the road for a few kilometres until you pass two more roundabouts. The main Artena parking lot, “Piazza Giovanni Genocchi” is on the right hand side of Via Cardinale Scipione Borghese, 150 meters after the second roundabout. The Christmas Express and mini bus stops are close by.

By train:

The nearest station is in Valmontone, on the Rome – Cassino / Rome – Frosinone / Rome – Caserta train lines. Get off at Valmontone and take the shuttle to Artena (located outside the station, near the bar). The shuttle will leave visitors directly at Largo Colombo, the same mini bus stop that takes visitors to the top of the historic center. The Christmas Express stop is close by.
